HERSHEY, Pa. — If you're a fan of craft beers and early holiday celebrations, we've got great news for you.
Tröegs Independent Brewing is celebrating Christmas in July this week at its Hershey-based brewery.
From now through Sunday, Tröegs is serving up a variety of beer and food specials centered around its iconic holiday ale, The Mad Elf.
Customers can enjoy vintage 2023 Mad Elf as well as Mad Elf Grand Cru and Bourbon Barrel-Aged Mad Elf on draft in the Tasting Room and to-go through the General Store.
In addition, Tröegs will offer two delicious Mad Elf blends, each featuring its holiday ale blended with a complementary year-round beer. These include Chocolate Elf, a blend of Mad Elf and Grand Cacao Chocolate Stout, and Mad Dreams, a blend of Mad Elf and DreamWeaver Wheat.
Starting on Thursday, Tröegs will offer a special limited draft release of Gingerbread Cookie Stout, a 10% ABV pastry stout inspired by grandma’s favorite cookie recipe.
Also on Thursday, the Tröegs Snack Bar will serve up a festive Meat and Cheese Plate as well as Braised Beef Poutine with Mad Elf-soaked cheese curds and blue cheese crumbles.
All items are available while supplies last.
For more than two decades, The Mad Elf holiday ale has been one of independent, family-owned brewery’s most popular once-a-year releases and helped put Tröegs on the craft beer map.
“Mad Elf captures so many things about the holidays for so many people,” said Tröegs co-founding brother Chris Trogner. “We’re excited to celebrate Christmas in July so fans can enjoy a taste of the holidays while summer is still heating up.”
Tröegs Independent Brewing is located at 200 E. Hersheypark Drive, where customers can enjoy brewery-fresh beers and a full menu featuring scratch-made dishes using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.
