HARRISBURG, Pa. — Harrisburg Police are investigating a 2012 shooting that is now categorized as a homicide after the victim died this year of injuries sustained in the nearly 12-year-old incident.

Tyrone McLemore, the victim in the case, was shot at about 1:50 a.m. on August 4, 2012, on the 400 block of South 14th Street, police said. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he received emergency treatment for gunshot wounds.

Police investigated the case at the time, but were unable to identify any suspects.

McLemore died earlier this week, and an autopsy conducted Wednesday determined his death was the direct result of the 2012 shooting incident, according to police.

The case is now being investigated as a homicide.

Police are seeking any information related to the 2012 incident. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Harrisburg Police at (717) 558-6900 or submit a tip online.
