HARRISBURG, Pa. — Harrisburg Fire Chief Brian Enterline says crews are in recovery mode, in the search for a missing person in the Susquehanna River.
Rescue crews were called around 10:30 a.m. to City Island in Harrisburg near the boat house after a woman was seen struggling in the river.
According to officials, a woman was swimming in the Susquehanna River on Sunday morning and was seen going under the water.
Chief Enterline says the strong currents of the river and low visibility for the divers made the search more difficult.
Harrisburg Police are investigating.
This is a developing story.
