Lebanon County woman dies in crash

Police say the driver hit a tree in Dauphin County

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. — A Lebanon County woman is dead after police said the SUV she was driving hit a tree.

36-year-old Amanda Thome, of Annville, Lebanon County, was driving on East Governor Road (U.S. 322) in Derry Township, Dauphin County early Friday morning.

Investigators said Thome's SUV went off the north side of the road and hit a tree just before 3:30 a.m.

No one else was in the SUV and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The Dauphin County Coroner's Office pronounced Thome dead at the scene.

The Derry Township Police Department and the Dauphin County Accident Reconstruction Team are still investigating the crash.
