Lancaster County Police investigating neglect of several dogs

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — The Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department is investigating the neglect of several dogs in Clay Township.

On Sept. 4, police received a call about the possible neglect of several puppies and their mothers by concerned neighbors, police said.

The police reached out to the Pennsylvania SPCA for assistance. When they arrived on the scene, officials found four puppies and their mothers in need of immediate medical attention, according to police.

The dogs were seized by the SPCA and transported to a local emergency veterinary clinic to receive medical help. 

The PSPCA is currently investigating the neglect.
