Police investigate Lancaster County crash

The driver of a Ram 1500 failed to negotiate a curve on Hanover Street in Elizabethtown Borough and struck a tree, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police in Lancaster County are investigating a crash that left a person injured by reconstructing it.

Troopers say the driver of a Ram 1500 was driving at a high rate of speed on Linden Avenue in Elizabethtown Borough and failed to negotiate the curve onto Hanover Street. The truck went over the curb in the 200 block of Hanover Street and struck a tree, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The driver was critically injured in the crash and taken to a hospital for treatment, police said. 

Troop J is reconstructing and investigating the crash to determine the cause and manner of the incident.
