LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — Editor's note: The above video is from Feb. 15.
Investigators are unable to determine the cause of the Martin's Country Market fire that caused millions of dollars worth of damage.
The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal says the damage is simply too great to determine how the fire started. However, officials did say that nothing suspicious was found.
The market caught on fire overnight on Feb. 15 and is closed indefinitely.
"To be closed indefinitely is heartbreaking for all the Martin family, but at this point our concern is to take care of our employees and make sure them and their families are okay," Jay Martin, CEO, said the day of the fire.
“If everyone is okay, everything will be okay moving forward,” Nevin Martin, president of Martin’s Country Market, said at the same time.
The flames took about six hours to get under control.
The market is a total loss.
Martin Furniture and Mattress, located in the same building but run by a different Martin family, was partially saved by a fire wall between the two businesses.
