54-year-old man killed in York County mobile home fire

The fire reportedly began in the kitchen of the home and the cause of the fire was an overloaded electrical power strip.

YORK COUNTY, Pa. — The coroner responded to the scene of a mobile home fire in York County.

According to emergency dispatch, fire crews were sent to a fire in the 5100 block of Susquehanna Trail in Conewago Township around 5:10 a.m. on July 11.

The York County Coroner's Office confirmed that a 54-year-old man died in the fire. He was unconscious at the scene and was pronounced dead at York Hospital, according to the Northern York County Regional Police Department.

He was the only person inside the home, according to officials. 

The fire reportedly began in the kitchen of the home and the cause of the fire was an overloaded electrical power strip. No smoke detectors were found in the home.
