Four cats, one dog rescued from York County house fire

There were no reported injuries, though one person was displaced from the fire.

YORK COUNTY, Pa. — Emergency crews were at the scene of a York County house fire. 

According to York County Emergency Dispatch, officials were alerted to the fire along the 2800 block of Mt. Zion Road at 2 p.m. 

A lawnmower reportedly caught fire in the garage of the house. Officials were able to rescue four cats and one dog from the house, according to Daniel Hoff with York Area United Fire and Rescue.

There were no injuries. Officials reported heavy smoke damage throughout the house.
