FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. — Brightspeed, the North Carolina-based broadband internet provider, will now be available to residents in Franklin County.
According to a statement issued by the company, the service will be offered in Chambersburg at a limited-time holiday discount.
Brightspeed has become a national leader in broadband. Its newest fiber internet network features XGS-PON technology, making it easy for users to work from home, stream and chat online with family members. The company also promises no annual contracts, equipment costs, bundle requirements, data caps or surprise fees.
Brightspeed hopes that its branching out into Chambersburg will help "close the rural-urban divide, enabling residents and businesses to connect to the digital economy like never before." More than 9,000 homes and businesses in the area have been connected to the service, and Brightspeed hopes to double that in the coming weeks.
