CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Police are investigating after a child was struck by a vehicle Friday morning in Chambersburg.
The incident occurred at 8:44 a.m. on the 500 block of South Second Street, according to Chambersburg Police.
The initial investigation determined the child accidentally ran onto the roadway before being struck by a passing vehicle. The child was transported to a trauma center for treatment, police said.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene at cooperated with the investigation, according to police.
