FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. — A Franklin County man has been charged with threatening a state senator after posting a series of threatening videos on Facebook.
The United States Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that Richard Little, 49, from Franklin County, was charged in a criminal complaint with threatening a Pennsylvania State Senator and unlawfully possessing a firearm while being an unlawful user of a controlled substance.
According to United States Attorney Gerard M. Karam, around June 10, 2024, Little was served with an eviction notice and began posting threatening videos on Facebook, including against a county commissioner.
In the videos, Little allegedly spoke of a "war" and described "kill zones" while displaying multiple firearms and communication in his home.
He also allegedly showed marijuana in one video and admitted to using the controlled substance.
Then, around June 21, Little allegedly posted on his Facebook threatening remarks against a State Senator.
That same day, Little was arrested and police searched his home. Inside, law enforcement allegedly seized several items, including 17 firearms, ammunition, marijuana, illegal mushrooms and drug paraphernalia.
The maximum penalty under federal law for the charges Little faces is 20 years in jail, a term of supervised release following release, a fine and a special assessment.
