Franklin County pedestrian fatally hit while getting mail

According to Pennsylvania State Police, Troy Truax, 59, was fatally struck by a vehicle while walking to his mailbox in Antrim Township.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. — State Police in Chambersburg were called to the scene of a vehicle crash that left one dead on Friday.

According to troopers, a 2015 Ford was driving down the 8000 block of Hades Church Road in Antrim Township, Franklin County while Troy Truax, 59 of Waynesboro, was walking to his mailbox.

The Ford struck Truax while driving in the southbound lane, and Truax succumbed to his injuries at the scene. 

Troopers reported that there were no other injuries, and there's no word on if any charges have been filed as a result of the crash.
