FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. — A 44-year-old man died on Friday afternoon after being involved in a multi-vehicle crash.

State police say JT Berger was riding his motorcycle westbound on the left lane of Lincoln Way East, approaching a green light at the intersection with Ragged Edge Road, when a vehicle stopped at a red light, tried to turn right onto the right westbound lane of Lincoln Way East.

According to police, at the same time the vehicle tried to make the right-hand turn onto the right lane, Berger moved into the right lane and was struck by the vehicle.

Berger was ejected from his motorcycle and run over by the striking vehicle.

Police say after the initial impact, the motorcycle continued to travel and struck a second vehicle eastbound on Lincoln Way East that was waiting to make a left turn onto Ragged Edge Road.

Berger was taken to the hospital but ultimately succumbed to his injuries and died.

Officials said all other people involved in the crash were uninjured.
