State Police investigating child killed in Franklin County farming incident

The 7-year-old victim was struck by a piece of machinery while working in the field of a Montgomery Township farm, troopers said.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police are investigating after a child was killed in a Franklin County farming incident.

According to troopers, the incident was reported at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, July 2, along Young and Mercersburg Roads in Franklin County. 

The seven-year-old victim was struck by a piece of machinery while working in a field at about 10:15 a.m., according to State Police. The boy was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

State police are investigating.
