State Police: One pronounced dead in Franklin County fatal crash

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — State Police in Chambersburg are investigating a two-vehicle crash that left one person dead on Friday.

According to State Police, the crash occurred in Chambersburg borough, Franklin County just before 5 p.m.

A motorcyclist, Jamaree Moore, 21 of Chambersburg, was traveling northbound in the right curb lane of Wayne Avenue at its intersection with South 2nd Street, behind a Mitsubishi going the same way. A Chevrolet was also going southbound in the same area.

Moore approached the rear end of the Mitsubishi while reportedly traveling at a high speed. The motorcyclist then crossed over the double yellow line and was struck by the Chevrolet while in the southbound lane.

The Franklin County Coroner's Office pronounced Moore deceased at the scene.

The drivers of the Mitsubishi and Chevrolet were reported to be uninjured.
