CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — State Police have charged a Chambersburg woman with six counts of forgery after she allegedly sent altered documents to PennDOT in order to appear medically cleared to operate a school bus.

Theresa Keifman, 72, the owner of Keifman Busing, is accused of changing the dates on PennDOT forms from 2018 to current in order to fraudulently convey that she was medically qualified to continue driving.

State Police say school bus operators must undergo a physical exam every 13 months to determine whether they can continue driving.

Keifman is accused of forging the documents because she was no longer medically qualified to drive school buses, according to State Police.

She was arraigned on the charges and is free after posting $25,000 bail.
