JUNIATA COUNTY, Pa. — Emergency crews responded to a massive fire in Juniata County on Tuesday, July 16.
According to the Fire Chief for Beale Township, crews are still working to extinguish hot spots and contain the fire, which spread to over 50 acres at one point. The fire began at 3:02 p.m., per the Juniata County Emergency Dispatch.
Adam Kling, a forester with the Pa. Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, said the cause of the fire is under investigation at this time. It's believed that dry weather and wind helped fuel and spread the blaze.
No one was hurt.
