Both Harris, Trump campaigns continue strong push to win Pennsylvania

Both the Harris and Trump campaigns continue to make stops in Pennsylvania this week ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

PENNSYLVANIA, USA — We're just two weeks away from the 2024 Presidential election and both campaigns continue to make a strong push to win Pennsylvania.

Democratic Presidential nominee Kamala Harris will be in Chester County today, just a day after her Republican challenger former President Donald Trump hosted a Town Hall in Lancaster.

Both of the campaigns have visited Pennsylvania several times leading up to the presidential election, and they're not stopping any time soon.

Vice President Harris will host her event this afternoon in East Whiteland Township, Chester County alongside former Congresswoman Liz Cheney.

The Harris campaign is hosting a series of moderated conversations today in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin.

This is just one day after former President Donald Trump visited the Lancaster County Convention Center, where he sat with former ESPN anchor Sage Steele for a Town Hall, answering questions from his supporters.

Local political science experts say these visits from both campaigns will help make an impact on voters.

"These campaign stops are important. You know any one stop by a presidential candidate probably doesn't matter all that much. Maybe they reach a couple of 1000 voters, you know, people sort of pay attention to the one stop that's in their kind of neck of the woods," said Dr. Stephen Medvic of Franklin and Marshall College.

"And so maybe they're reaching a few 1000 people, which doesn't sound like a lot, but over the course of a campaign, if you keep coming back to the state and you keep reaching a couple of new voters each time, that makes the difference.”

Harris' campaign event in Chester County is scheduled to begin a little after 11:30 this morning. FOX43 will be covering the event.

Trump's campaign will be in Pennsylvania all week long for a bus tour, starting in Eastern PA and ending in Central PA on Friday.

Today is also the last day to register to vote in Pennsylvania.
