LANCASTER, Pa. — The Lancaster County Forensic Center announced on Sept. 27 that the remains of 90 unclaimed or indigent individuals will be interred at Millersville Mennonite Ceremony.
The burial will take place on Oct. 12 at 1 p.m.
Of the 90 unclaimed individuals, 48 of them are Lancaster County residents. Additionally, 42 remains were taken into custody from the Andrew T. Scheid Funeral Homes.
A non-denominational service will be performed by a police chaplain. During the ceremony, each individual's name will be announced.
It is encouraged for relatives or friends of the unclaimed individuals to come to the committal service, or claim their loved one before the ceremony.
