Amish farmer ordered not to sell raw milk products asks judge to allow out-of-state sales

Amos Miller and his lawyers filed a request for Miller to be allowed to sell his raw milk product out of state after he was ordered to stop Pennsylvania sales.

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — Editor's note: The above video is from Feb. 29.

After being ordered to stop selling his raw milk products, an Amish farmer and his lawyers have filed a request for the court to allow out-of-state sales of the dairy items.

Amos Miller wants the judge to add a stipulation to the court order that would allow Miller to sell his products outside of Pennsylvania. His lawyers argue that the current ban on all sales may stretch the Commonwealth's authority too far as it tries to govern commerce in other states.

The court filing also argues that Miller, his business and his customers will suffer irreparable harm if they are denied access to the raw milk products.

Miller's lawyers additionally requested that the court add a clause that acknowledges that Miller has no connection to a website that falsely claims to market his products and order the owner of the website to stop the advertisement.

The request was filed on March 4, three days after the judge issued his order to stop the sale of the raw milk products.
