LANCASTER, Pa. — Police in Lancaster have arrested a suspect accused of using a master key card to break into several rooms at a downtown hotel Tuesday night.
Lawrence Bracy, 26, is also wanted for burglary and theft in Delaware and Georgia, according to Lancaster Police.
He is charged with five counts of burglary, theft by unlawful taking, forgery, identity theft, providing false ID, being a fugitive from justice, and receiving stolen property in connection to Tuesday night's alleged incident.
According to police, officers were dispatched to a Holiday Inn on the first block of East Chestnut Street at about 10 p.m. after multiple guests reported to hotel management that they were missing cash, medications, clothing, and other items. Hotel staff told police the suspect had somehow obtained a master key and was using it to enter rooms without permission to steal the items.
Bracy was located on the hotel's 10th floor at about 11:20 p.m., police said. Staff reported he was attempting to flee from the building. Police coordinated a pursuit, and captured Bracy in Binn's Park after a brief foot chase.
Police searched Bracy's belongings and located the master key card as well as some of the items that had been reported stolen, police said.
