STEVENS, Pa. — A Lancaster man is facing multiple felonies in connection to a two-vehicle crash that seriously injured another person last month, authorities said Wednesday.
Mykel Brandon Cole, 43, was determined to be under the influence of alcohol after a breath test taken after the Sept. 24 incident determined his blood alcohol concentration was .133%, according to East Cocalico Township Police.
The crash occurred at 1:57 a.m. on the 300 block of East Church Street in East Cocalico Township, police said.
An investigation determined Cole's vehicle failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, crossed into the opposing lane, and struck another vehicle head-on, according to police.
The driver of the other vehicle sustained serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment, police said.
Cole was uninjured.
He is charged with aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI, two counts of driving under the influence and a summary traffic violation.
He has been arraigned on the charges and was released after posting bail, police said.
