Suspect in custody after overnight shots-fired incident in Lancaster

LANCASTER, Pa. — Lancaster Police have arrested a suspect in an overnight shots-fired incident.

It occurred shortly after midnight on the 300 block of South Christian Street, police said. Responding officers found spent shell casings on the 400 block of Locust Street and were able to obtain surveillance footage of a suspect walking in the area.

The suspect was spotted a short time later walking on the 400 block of Howard Avenue, according to police. After initially complying, the man fled into a nearby home, police said.

He was apprehended at the rear of the home moments later.

Police identified the man as Warren Parker, of Lancaster.

Parker was found to be in possession of a loaded 9mm Glock 19 that had several rounds missing from the magazine, police said.

He is charged with carrying a firearm without a license, discharging a firearm within city limits, fleeing from police and escape.
