LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — Crews responded to the scene of a building fire along the 900 block of Bucks Heights Road on Tuesday, April 16.
According to the Robert Fulton Fire Company, crews were at the scene of a building fire along the 900 block of Bucks Heights Road just after 3 p.m.
First responders saw a large area of pallets on fire at the scene. According to the Quarryville Fire Company, the fire grew in intensity, overtaking attempts to stop the spread.
Despite the best efforts of first responders, the fire spread to much of the building complex. However, through the efforts of volunteers, several other buildings on the property were saved from the blaze.
First responders worked throughout the evening, fighting the fire. They deemed it under control around 8 p.m.
Traffic was temporarily gridlocked and drivers were asked to avoid the area so first responders could handle the fire.
