LANCASTER, Pa. — Police in Lancaster County have charged a York man with the alleged sexual assault of a juvenile in 2016.

Bryan Enrique Cuevas-Rios, 25, was 17 years old at the time of the alleged sexual assault, which occurred in a home on the first block of Dylan Lane in Lancaster Township, according to Manheim Township Police.

The victim was four years old at the time, police said.

Police claim Cuevas-Rios forced the victim to touch his genitals. The victim told a forensic interviewer that Cuevas-Rios pulled the victim into a bedroom, closed the door, and forced the victim into a sexual encounter in January 2016.

A family member of the victim told police they confronted Cuevas-Rios about the allegation and suggested he undergo a polygraph examination to prove his innocence.

Cuevas-Rios allegedly declined, telling the witness that there was a high likelihood that he would not pass it, the witness later told police.

Investigators filed charges against Cuevas-Rios on Jan. 31. He was arraigned on one count of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and one count of indecent assault before Magisterial District Judge Mary Mongiovi Sponaugle, who set bail at $50,000.
