COLUMBIA, Pa. — A reported gas leak in the Lancaster County borough of Columbia Monday morning has been repaired, but authorities are asking people to continue to avoid the area.
The leak was reported Monday morning in the area of 3rd and Cherry streets, the Columbia Borough Police Department said. Police and fire crews responded to the area, along with repair workers.
It took roughly an hour for the leak to be repaired, and the area is safe, police said.
But residents and motorists are asked to continue avoiding the area until approximately 3 p.m. Monday, while work crews continue to repair the roadway.
