LANCASTER, Pa. — A portion or Oregon Pike will be closed "for several hours" due to a serious crash, Manheim Township Police said Friday.

The crash is in the area of Chester Road, near Eden Resort and Route 30 in Lancaster County. It is roughly a mile from Lancaster Country Club, where the U.S. Women's Open golf tournament is underway.

Officials with the United States Golf Association said they were aware of the crash and its potential impact on players, fans and volunteers trying to get to Lancaster Country Club.

The USGA said vehicle traffic and shuttle routes from the Club to off-site parking areas have been re-routed, which is causing a 25-30 minute delay. Fans, players and volunteers are asked to plan accordingly.

"Please have patience and respect for authorities and emergency vehicles as they manage this accident," the USGA said.

Manheim Township Police are advising all motorists to avoid the area.

Additional details regarding the crash were not immediately available.

This is a developing story. FOX43 will have additional information as it becomes available.
