Lancaster County crash kills motorcyclist

LANCASTER, Pa. — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Friday.

Luis Rodriquez, 50, of Lancaster, died after a crash with an SUV in the area of Oregon Pike and Route 30 in Manheim Township around 11:38 a.m. 

The Lancaster County Coroner's Office pronounced him dead at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital just before 1 p.m. on May 31. His cause of death was ruled multiple traumatic injuries and the manner accidental after an autopsy on June 3.

Officers with the Manheim Township Police Department stated that the driver of the second vehicle, a Hyundai SUV, remained on the scene and cooperated.

The road remained closed for approximately 3-4 hours while officers investigated. The crash is still under investigation, and no charges have been filed.
