LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — A Manheim man is dead after a deadly multi-vehicle crash in Lancaster County.

The Lancaster County Coroner's Office responded to the crash that involved a vehicle rollover that occurred on Oct. 9 around 8 a.m.

Upon arrival at the intersection of Hossler Road and Breneman Road in Rapho Township, the coroner found a crash that involved a pickup truck and a sedan. A third, parked vehicle was also struck after the initial crash.

Police say the crash occurred when a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu driving westbound on Breneman Road towards the stop sign at its intersection with Hossler Road entered the intersection and was struck in the passenger side by a 2006 GMC Sierra pickup truck driving southbound on Hossler Road.

The driver of the pickup truck, identified as 43-year-old Eldon Kreider of Manheim, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say Kreider was partially ejected from the truck and trapped underneath it when officers arrived.

After an autopsy was conducted on Oct. 10, Kreider's cause of death was determined to be from multiple traumatic injuries. The manner of death was ruled an accident, according to the Coroner's Office.

The driver of the Malibu and two passengers of the pickup truck received minor injuries.

The Manheim Borough Police Department says any charges are pending the completion of a full investigation and reconstruction of the crash.

Any witnesses are asked to contact Officer Derek Weinoldt at 717-665-2481.
