LANCASTER, Pa. — Dutch Winter Wonderland announced it will offer extended hours for the holidays.
The Lancaster County amusement park will be open from 4-9 p.m. on Friday and from 3-8 p.m. on Saturday, the park said.
Daily operations will resume from December 26 through January 1, with extended hours on December 27 and 28, the park said. On these two days, the park will open two hours earlier than planned, at 1 p.m.
To close out the holiday season, Dutch Wonderland will host Duke’s Dazzling New Year’s from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. during Dutch Winter Wonderland on Dec. 31.
Families are invited to enjoy a day filled with festivities and countdown to 2 p.m. with a DJ, dance party with Duke, Father Time and friends and a glitter beach ball drop. The countdown to 2 p.m. will take place in the park’s Market Square area, and directly following the glitter beach ball drop, visitors can enjoy Duke’s Blizzard Bash!
The park will also host character dining with Duke and Father Time from 4-5 p.m. at Merlin's Holiday Feast and a variety of New Year’s traditions from around the world including:
- Norway – Nyttarsbukk: Guests are invited to sing for candy at the Amphitheater
- Netherlands – Oliebollen: Enjoy fried dough at Mr. Funnelini's Funnel Cake Stand
- Philippines – Find round objects scavenger hunt: Visitors are invited to hunt throughout the park for circular shapes that symbolizes money and wealth
- Japan - Joya-no-Kane: The ringing of the bells will be an interactive music display with the Dutch WonderBand at 3 p.m. at the off-Road Rally
The final day of the Dutch Wonderland season will be January 1, as the park closes out the year as it gears up to reopen in just a few short months for the spring season.
