LANCASTER, Pa. — A Lancaster man is facing numerous charges, including multiple counts of DUI and unauthorized use of a vehicle after an incident last week in Manheim Township.

Felix Daniel Ortiz Jr., 42, is accused of crashing a vehicle into a home on the 400 block of Atkins Avenue and then fleeing the scene on the night of November 4, according to Manheim Township Police.

He was arrested while attempting to drive back to the scene in a different car, police said.

Police say they encountered Ortiz earlier in the day when he was seen running around nude while under the influence of PCP.

During their investigation of the crash, police claim that two witnesses approached to report a man matching Ortiz's physical description attempted to break into their home. They provided police with Ring camera footage of the alleged break-in attempt.

After his arrest, Ortiz allegedly admitted that he was driving under the influence of PCP. He said he began hallucinating while driving and exited the vehicle while it was still in motion, causing it to crash into the home.

He also admitted to trying to break into a home while attempting to get help for his hallucinations, according to police.

When he was unsuccessful, Ortiz said, he returned to his home, took a relative's car, and tried to drive back to the scene to recover the vehicle he'd crashed, but was pulled over by police before he could get there.

Police took Ortiz into custody and charged him with DUI-Controlled Substance, Driving Under a Suspended License-DUI related, Accident-Damage Attended, Reckless Driving, and Criminal Trespass. He was remanded to Lancaster County Prison.
