5 arrested after shots fired incident in Lancaster County

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — Five people were taken into custody following a shots-fired incident in Lancaster County.

According to the Columbia Borough Police Department, on Nov. 1 at 1:30 p.m., officers received several calls about shots fired. 

At the scene, officers reportedly located several shell casings on the roadway as well as bullet holes in a nearby house. The house was occupied, but no injuries were reported. 

Officers were made aware that the suspects ran into a house along the 200 block of S. 4th Street. 

With the assistance of several police agencies, the area was surrounded. 

An officer made announcements over a loudspeaker and five people were eventually taken into custody. 

The investigation is ongoing and more information may be released later on. Any witnesses have been asked to call the police station at 717-684-7735 or submit a tip here. There should be no danger to the public at this time.
