Four arrested, charged in Lancaster County armed robbery and vehicle theft

Four Lancaster residents have been arrested and charged for their respective roles in a July 6 armed home invasion and robbery.

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — Four Lancaster residents have been arrested and charged following a reported armed robbery and vehicle theft.

According to the East Hempfield Township Police Department, on Saturday, July 6, a home invasion robbery was reported at along the 100 block of Madge Drive. 

The victim reported that two men entered his home, struck him in the head with a firearm and tied his hands behind his back with an electrical cord. The suspects then ransacked the residence, stealing multiple firearms, jewelry and a gaming system. 

On Monday, July 8, the same victim reported that a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta was stolen from outside his home on Madge Dr. 

The following week officers with the East Hempfield Police Department pulled over the stolen car. The driver was identified as Phylicia Smith, 33, from Lancaster. 

Throughout the investigation, additional suspects were identified. On July 23, East Hempfield police filed criminal complaints against the following people: 

Alfredo Maldonado-Gonzalez, 41, from Lancaster, was charged with burglary, aggravated assault, unlawful restraint, possession of instruments of crime and three counts of  theft by unlawful taking,

Timothy Brad Mauldin, 33, from Lancaster, was charged with robbery, burglary, three counts of theft by unlawful taking, aggravated assault, unlawful restraint, possession of instruments of crime and receiving stolen property. 

Phylicia Janelle Smith, 33, from Lancaster, was charged with burglary, two counts of receiving stolen property, firearms not to be carried without a license, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia and numerous summary traffic violations.

Megan Pearl Mauldin, 33, from Lancaster, was charged with receiving stolen property. 

According to his affidavit of probable cause, Maldonado-Gonzalez was also involved in armed robberies on June 23 and July 9 in West Donegal Township and Pequea Township. In the June 23 armed robbery, the victim was reportedly tied using a phone charging court and robbed of $3,000. In the Pequea Township robbery, the victim was robbed of cash, jewelry, a cell phone, silver coins, a purse and the victim's 201 Subaru Forester.
