LANCASTER, Pa. — A popular Lancaster County eatery announced it is closing all its locations.
Frisco's Chicken, which has locations in Lancaster, Mount Joy, and Lititz, said Friday it is closing its doors, citing "the ever-increasing cost of goods and a steep decline in sales," according to its Facebook page.
The Peruvian-style chicken restaurant opened its first location in Lancaster four years ago.
Owner Francisco “Frisco” Gomez De La Torre said the decision to close was difficult.
"My heart is broken," he said in a note left on the door of one of the restaurant's locations. "About my staff, about my family, and about you, my beloved customers."
De La Torre said some of his staff have elected to stay on and will sell the remainder of the business's inventory at its Lancaster and Mount Joy locations. The sales will be cash only, and proceeds will go to the staff.
"We cannot thank you all for the love and support along our journey," his note concludes.
