LITITZ, Pa. — Police in Lancaster County have charged a Lititz man with possession of child pornography and other related offenses after an investigation launched in March.

Gerald Gordon Gibbs, 74, was charged after Lititz Borough Police were alerted by the National Center For Missing and Exploited Children that suspected child pornography was uploaded to a Dropbox server by a profile that was traced to his name and email address, according to a criminal complaint affidavit.

The IP address was also traced to Gibbs' home address on Red Fox Lane, the complaint states.

A search warrant executed at the home in October recovered more than 1,500 images depicting males under the age of 18, police claim.

In an interview with investigators, Gibbs allegedly admitted to possessing child pornography, according to the criminal complaint.

Police filed charges against Gibbs on December 5 and took him into custody. He was arraigned on the charges and is currently awaiting a preliminary hearing.
