Update: One injured in helicopter crash at Lancaster Airport

It is currently unknown what caused the helicopter to crash.

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — Update (Nov. 21): Lancaster Airport officials said a student pilot and a flight instructor were the two people aboard the helicopter when it crashed Saturday morning. 

The helicopter is said to have "experienced problems" before it crashed.

Both the student and instructor were able to exit the helicopter following the crash and were walking around, officials said they appeared to be uninjured.

They were taken to the hospital out of precaution.

Previous: One person was taken to the hospital after the helicopter they were in crashed at Lancaster Airport on Saturday morning.

According to officials, around 11:25 a.m., a K-Copters 47G-2 helicopter with two people aboard crashed near the control tower at the Lancaster Airport.

One person was taken to the hospital for unknown injuries.

The FAA is investigating the crash.
