LANCASTER, Pa. — A suspect in a Lancaster-area shooting is now facing additional charges after police found messages on a cell phone confiscated during the investigation that indicated he was having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a minor, police said this week.
Isaiah Ramon Cabrera, 23, of Lancaster, was communicating with the girl while he was being held in prison following his arrest for an August 4, 2023 shooting, Manheim Township Police claim. The girl entered her contact information into Lancaster County Prison's Securus calling system and was allegedly discussing love, marriage and having children with Cabrera, according to police.
While searching Cabrera's phone, which was found abandoned at the scene of the shooting, police found 20 videos with suspected indecent contact between Cabrera and the girl, 20 images depicting indecent contact between Cabrera and the girl, five nude videos of the girl, and 15 nude images of the girl, according to police.
Police also found additional messages between Cabrera and the girl on the Snapchat app, during which he allegedly asks the girl to provide more explicit videos and images, according to the criminal complaint affidavit.
Investigators found evidence that Cabrera shared seven videos involving the girl with an adult woman, according to the complaint. He also allegedly asked the girl to help him find another woman to "have a (three)some with," according to police.
Messages also indicate Cabrera was aware of the girl's age when they were communicating and involved in an inappropriate relationship, police said.
The victim allegedly admitted to having a relationship with Cabrera and that she sent him at least two nude images, according to police.
As a result of the investigation, Cabrera is charged with eight counts of sexual abuse of children, unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors, and criminal use of a communication facility.
