LANCASTER, Pa. — A Lancaster man has been charged with three felony counts of aggravated assault after his alleged attack on a doctor and two security guards at Lancaster General Hospital last week, police said in charging documents.

Kevin Doyle, 37, of the 700 block of North Queen Street, also used a racial slur when addressing one of the security guards he allegedly attacked during the October 10 incident, according to Lancaster Police.

The alleged attack occurred around 4:13 p.m., police said. Doyle, who was a patient at the hospital, allegedly called a male security guard a racial slur before attempting to punch him. He reportedly struck a female security guard in the face and kicked a doctor twice in the thigh, according to police.

The female security guard sustained swelling in the area where Doyle struck her, police said.

Police did not provide further details about what prompted the attack.

The charges against Doyle are all second-degree felonies, according to the complaint.

He was arraigned on Oct. 11 and remanded to Lancaster County Prison after failing to post bail of $50,000, according to court records.
