The Lancaster County borough is looking for volunteers to help with the clean-up effort.

COLUMBIA, Pa. — The borough of Columbia will host its Third Annual Spring Cleaning event next month and is looking for volunteers to pitch in.

"We would love to have volunteers from the community to help us," the borough said in its announcement.

The clean-up, which focuses on Columbia's parks, streets and sidewalks in the downtown area, will be held on Friday, April 19, from 8 a.m. to noon (in the event of rain, the clean-up will be moved to Friday, April 26).

To volunteer, contact Pam at (717) 684-7735 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday or by email at arnoldp@columbiapd.org.

The borough will also be collecting large items left on the curb. Tags for large items are available, for a fee, at the Borough Office from 8 a.m. on April 1 to noon on Thursday, April 18. All items must have a tag to be picked up.
