LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — The Lancaster County Coroner responded to a stretch of the Susquehanna River on Friday afternoon.
The Office confirmed to FOX43 that they responded but could not elaborate further.
Multiple crews were along the river in the Lock 12 area, which is where missing Fire Police Captain Tony Bortner of Laurel Fire Company #1 in Windsor's car was found by State Police.
Although it's unclear if the coroner's presence was related to Bortner's case, authorities had been searching for him around that area, where Bortner's family said he often walked to clear his head.
This is a developing story. FOX43 will provide additional information as it becomes available.
