LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — Update, Dec. 26: The Lancaster County Coroner's Office has released the name of the woman who died on Christmas in a multi-vehicle crash.
Karina Cruz-Camuy, 27 of Lancaster, was pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner after a crash at Wabank Road in Lancaster Township.
An autopsy that was performed this morning, December 26, determined that Cruz-Camuy succumbed to multiple traumatic injuries. The manner of death was ruled as an accident.
The Manheim Township Police Department stated that four other occupants of the involved vehicles, including a minor, were transported to Hershey Medical Center. The driver of the third vehicle was reportedly uninjured.
Wabank Road was closed until shortly after 6 p.m. for officers from the Manheim Township Police crash team and members of the Lancaster County Crash Investigation Unit to assist the scene.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Update, Dec. 25, 3:32 p.m.: Lancaster County Emergency Dispatch confirmed that the coroner was called to a three-vehicle crash on Wabank Road.
Dispatch stated that the Manheim Township Police Department was called to the fatal accident at 1:03 p.m. on Monday.
It was confirmed that multiple occupants were taken to a local hospital for treatment, although it is not clear how many people were transported.
The investigation is still ongoing, and there's no word on when the roadway will reopen at this time.
