LANCASTER, Pa. — The Lancaster County Drug Task Force on Wednesday announced the arrest of a Lancaster man found with more than $19,000 worth of cocaine, methamphetamine and other illegal drugs at his East Madison Street home earlier this month.
Josiah McClarence-Giddons, 30, is charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute psilocybin mushrooms, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and altering or obliterating marks of identifications, authorities said.
Drug Task Force agents with the assistance of Homeland Security Investigations and Pennsylvania State Police recovered illegal drugs along with cash, guns and drug paraphernalia while executing a search and seizure warrant at McClarence-Giddon’s home in the 600 block of East Madison Street on Nov. 14.
In total, 128 grams of crack cocaine valued at $12,800, 93 grams of methamphetamine valued at $5,580, 40 grams of psilocybin mushrooms valued at $800, 16 grams of marijuana valued at $160, two handguns, and $5,956 in cash were recovered during the search and seizure warrant.
One of the handguns had an obliterated serial number, authorities said.
Investigators began looking into McClarence-Giddon for dealing crack cocaine in July. Multiple undercover or confidential informants purchased crack cocaine from McClarence-Giddon using pre-recorded funds provided by DTF during the investigation.
A portion of the pre-recorded funds used by DTF for the undercover purchases were found among the cash seized during the search warrant, authorities said.
The undercover purchases, along with multiple corroborating surveillances, developed probable cause for the issuance of a search warrant of McClarence-Giddons’ residence.
