LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — A Lancaster County girl died of injuries sustained in a farm accident Tuesday, the county coroner said Wednesday.

The 9-year-old victim, who was Amish, was pronounced dead by the Lancaster County Coroner's Office at a local hospital at about 11:49 a.m. Tuesday. She had been transported there after a farming accident at her Salisbury Township home, the coroner's office said.

Authorities said the girl died of multiple traumatic injuries after becoming entangled in the reins of her horse, which spooked and bolted during a training session at the farm, located on the 100 block of Snake Lane in Kinzers.

The coroner ruled her manner of death accidental. No autopsy will be conducted.
