LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — A Lititz man is facing multiple charges after allegedly downloading and selling child pornography.

According to the Manheim Township Police Department, Daniel Engel, 21, from Lititz, has been charged with two counts of sexual abuse of children and three counts of criminal use of a communication facility.

Manheim police reportedly received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that had been originally reported by X Corp. (formally known as Twitter). It was determined the cyber tips pertained to an individual who uploaded files containing child pornography through Twitter using two different screens and usernames.

A subpoena identified the suspect as Daniel Engel, 21, from Lititz.

Through a previous investigation about similar activity, Engel allegedly admitted to viewing child pornography on his cell phone and that he may have clicked on a link through Twitter to view the images.

A search warrant was authorized on Engel's electronics. Child pornography was allegedly located on his devices.

One of the images was found on an X account that was suspected to be involved in child sexual exploitation, according to police.

During an interview, Engel allegedly described himself as having an addiction to pornography and that he had pursued making money by offering screenshotted images of child pornography for sale.

Engel was arraigned and his unsecured bail was set at $50,000
