LANCASTER, Pa. — The Lancaster County Office of Aging on Tuesday announced it is accepting gift card donations for its 2024 Holiday Program

The Office said it identifies older adults receiving in-home services from the agency and would benefit from receiving $30 gift cards for local grocery stores.

Gift card donations can be made in any denomination up to $30 for Giant and Weis Markets, the Office said.

Monetary donations are also welcomed and can be payable to the Lancaster County Office of Aging (please include "Holiday Program" in the memo line of your check).

Monetary and gift card donations can be mailed or dropped off at the Lancaster County Office of Aging, 150 N. Queen St., Suite 415, Lancaster, PA 17603.

Online donors can visit lancoaging.org. Donations made online are subject to a service fee of 2.5% or up to $2 for credit card payments, or $2 for eCheck payments (the fee is not collected by the Office but by its payment processor).

Donations to this year's program will be happily accepted until Dec. 31. Any donations received beyond what is needed to purchase gift cards or after the Dec. 31 deadline will be reserved for consumer emergencies throughout the coming year, such as assisting with heating costs or food insecurity.
