Lancaster County police searching for rape suspect, considered armed and dangerous

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — A Lancaster man is wanted by police for violently assaulting a victim. 

According to the Manor Township Police Department, Efrain T. Mateo, 49, assaulted and raped a victim along the 3500 block of Blue Rock Road on Thursday, Oct. 3. 

He has been charged with rape- threat of forcible compulsion, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse- forcible compulsion, burglary, aggravated indecent assault, terroristic threats, simple assault, indecent assault, endangering the welfare of children and possession of an instrument of crime. 

Mateo is considered armed and dangerous. He has been known to drive a white Ford Escape, a gray Honda Pilot and a gray Chrysler Town and County. 

According to police, Mateo is known to frequent Manor Township, West Hempfield and Columbia areas. He is 5'7" and weighs 180 pounds. 

Anyone with information on Mateo's whereabouts has been advised to call 911 immediately. Do not approach him, according to police.
