Lancaster County police locate and arrest wanted rape suspect

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — A Lancaster man- wanted for violently assaulting a victim- has been arrested in Chester County.

According to the Manor Township Police Department, Efrain T. Mateo, 49, assaulted and raped a victim along the 3500 block of Blue Rock Road on Thursday, Oct. 3. 

He has been charged with rape- threat of forcible compulsion, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse- forcible compulsion, burglary, aggravated indecent assault, terroristic threats, simple assault, indecent assault, endangering the welfare of children and possession of an instrument of crime. 

Mateo was arrested on Oct. 11 in Chester County and is now in custody at Lancaster County Prison.
