Something in the water: Lancaster County police seize crocodile from storage unit

It's not everyday officers get a call for a crocodile found in a Lancaster County storage unit.

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — An unexpected animal was found inside a Lancaster County storage unit.

The Columbia Borough Police Department received a report of a crocodile left in a storage unit along with other small animals. Due to the inadequate living conditions, the croc was seized by officers and turned over to a local Reptile Rescue expert.

Officers were able to find light in the situation, writing, "You can distinguish an alligator from a crocodile by paying attention to whether the animal sees you later or in a while. Happy Friday!"
