LANCASTER, Pa. — A crash involving a tractor-trailer has closed both eastbound lanes of Route 30 between Routes 462 and the East Towne Mall in Lancaster County, transportation and emergency officials said Friday.

The affected stretch of Route 30 "will be closed for some time," according to the Lafayette Fire Company, which was dispatched to the scene along with other emergency and hazmat crews.

According to the fire company, a tractor-trailer jackknifed on the bypass, causing a fuel leak from the truck's saddle tanks.

All eastbound lanes in the area are closed while the scene is cleaned up, according to 511pa.com.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area until further notice.
