LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — A Lancaster County woman has been charged with the death of two people following a car crash.

According to the Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department, on Dec. 1, 2023, around 11:45 a.m., officers responded to West 28th Division Highway (SR322) near the Lancaster/Lebanon County line for a two-vehicle crash. At the scene, first responders discovered that an Infinity and Ford had collided.

The Ford caught fire while two victims were inside. Allen G. English, 84, of Lititz Borough, and his daughter, Grace English-Rohrer, of Lancaster, were killed.

An investigation was launched and witnesses informed officers that they saw the Infinity driving at a high rate of speed and the Infinity had passed several cars before the collision. It was also reported the Infinity had swerved for a dead deer which was on the side of the road before the crash.

Crash reconstruction investigators determined that the Infinity had been driving 93 mph in a 55 mph zone five seconds before the crash. The Infinity driver was identified as Beth Anne Fife, 51, from East Earl.

A reconstruction report identified the factors involved that led to the car crash and the deaths of English and English-Rohrer.

Fife has been charged with two counts of homicide by vehicle, two counts of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of recklessly endangering another person and three traffic violations.
